What is a Temperature Converter?
A temperature converter translates a reading between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin. India and most of the world use Celsius for weather and body temperature, the US still runs on Fahrenheit for weather reports and oven dials, and Kelvin is the scientific baseline used in physics and chemistry where zero represents absolute zero. This matters when reading a US recipe's oven temperature, checking an imported appliance's Fahrenheit-only thermostat, following an international weather forecast, or converting a lab temperature reading for a science assignment.
Conversion Formula
Every conversion first passes through Celsius as the common reference point:
Kelvin → Celsius: C = K − 273.15
Celsius → Fahrenheit: F = C × 9⁄5 + 32
Celsius → Kelvin: K = C + 273.15
